Removal
Engines of 1,6 l
L engines 2,0/1,8
|
- Weaken a bolt of fastening of a pulley of the water pump.
- Turn out a bolt of fastening of the generator.
- Remove a pulley of the water pump and a driving belt.
|
- Remove a pulley of a bent shaft.
|
|
- Remove a casing of a gear belt.
|
|
Note the direction of rotation of a gear belt for repeated installation it in initial situation. |
|
- Remove a pulley of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt.
|
- Shoot the directing video.
|
- Turn out a bolt and remove a camshaft pulley.
|
|
Be careful not to damage a wrench a head of the block of cylinders. |
- Turn out a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft.
|
- Remove a pulley of a bent shaft and the plug.
|
- On engines of 1,6 l shoot a video of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt.
|
|
Check
Pulleys, pulley of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt and single pulley
|
- Check pulleys of distributive and cranked shaft, a pulley of the mechanism of a tension and a single pulley for lack of uneven wear, cracks and damages. Replace them as required.
- Check ease and smoothness of rotation of a pulley of the mechanism of a tension and single pulley, and also lack of extraneous noise at rotation. Replace them as required.

- Replace pulleys if there is a lubricant leak.
|

|
Gear belt
|
- Check a gear belt on lack of traces of oil, water or dust. If it is necessary replace a belt. Insignificant traces have to be wiped by dry fabric or paper. You do not clean a gear belt solvent.
- After repair of the engine or adjustment a belt tension, check a condition of a belt. With the following defects, replace a gear belt.
|
• Strongly do not bend a gear belt and do not change the direction of its rotation. • Do not allow oil and lubricant to contact with a gear belt as it will lead to its destruction. |

Installation
L engines 1,8 and 2,0
|
|
- Install the plug, and a pulley of a bent shaft as shown in the drawing. Pay attention to the direction of their Inhaling Moment installation: 170–180 N • m.
|
- Establish a pulley of the camshaft and fix by a bolt, having tightened it the required moment. Inhaling moment: 100–120 N • m.
- Combine adjusting tags on pulleys of distributive and cranked shaft with indexes, at the same time the piston of the first cylinder has to be installed in VMT in a compression step.
- Install the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt and the directing roller.

- Establish a gear belt on a camshaft pulley.
|
|
After installation of a gear belt on a camshaft pulley, pressing a pulley of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt of the drive to the water pump be convinced that its sagging from a tension is excluded. |
- Turn clockwise a bent shaft of the engine on one turn and combine a tag on a pulley of a gear belt of a bent shaft with the index on the block of cylinders of the engine. Check that the tag on a pulley of the camshaft was combined with the index on a cover of a head of cylinders.

Do not turn a bent shaft of the engine counterclockwise. The moment of an inhaling of bolts of fastening of the mechanism of a tension and the directing roller: 43–55 N • m. |
|
- Repeatedly check a tension of a gear belt. When pressing the tense branch of a gear belt by effort of 20 N the belt has to cave in approximately on 4–6 mm.
|
|
- Establish casings of a gear belt. Inhaling moment: 8–10 N • m.
|
- Establish a pulley of a bent shaft. Inhaling moment: 140–150 N • m.
|
- Establish a pulley of the water pump.
|
- Establish poliklinovy a belt and adjust its tension.
|
|
Engines of 1,6 l
|
|
- Install the plug, and a pulley of a bent shaft as shown in the drawing. Pay attention to the direction of their Inhaling Moment installation: 140–150 N • m.
|
- Establish a pulley of the camshaft and fix by a bolt, having tightened it the required moment. Inhaling moment: 80–100 N • m.
- Establish the directing roller and fix by a bolt, having tightened it the required moment. Inhaling moment: 43–55 N • m.
|
- Combine adjusting tags on pulleys of distributive and cranked shaft with indexes, at the same time the piston of the first cylinder has to be installed in VMT in a compression step.
|
|
- At installation of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt first of all install the tension mechanism, a spring and the expansion plug. Temporarily tighten bolts. Then, temporarily squeeze the tension mechanism, having inserted a bolt into the extended opening. Establish the back end of a flat spring opposite to a forward cover, as shown in the drawing.

- Fix the tension mechanism which is taken away to the water pump.
|
|
- Establish a gear belt on a pulley of a bent shaft.
|
|
- Establish a gear belt on a camshaft pulley, at the same time be convinced that its sagging from a tension is excluded.
|
- Tighten bolts of fastening of the mechanism of a tension.
- Turn clockwise a bent shaft of the engine on one turn and combine a tag on a pulley of a gear belt of a bent shaft with the index on the block of cylinders of the engine. Check that the tag on a pulley of the camshaft was combined with the index on a cover of a head of cylinders. Moment of an inhaling of a bolt of fastening of the mechanism of a tension: 20–27 N • m
|
- Repeatedly check a tension of a gear belt. When pressing the tense branch of a gear belt by effort of 49 N the gear belt has to cave in to the center of a head of a bolt of fastening of the mechanism of a tension.
|
|
- Establish casings of a gear belt. Inhaling moment: 8–10 N • m.
|
- Establish a pulley of a bent shaft. Make sure that the pin of a bent shaft enters a pulley opening. Inhaling moment: 140–150 N • m.
- Establish a belt of the drive of the fan and adjust its tension.
- Establish a pulley of the water pump.
- Establish poliklinovy a belt and adjust its tension.
