1.17. Removal and installation of the engine and transmission

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the rechargeable battery.
  1. Remove the air filter.
  1. Disconnect electric sockets from the switch of light of a backing and plaits of wires of the engine.
  2. On the car with the mechanical five-speed transmission disconnect the electric socket from the adjusting valve of the choice.
  3. Disconnect electric sockets from the generator and the sensor of pressure of oil.
  4. Merge cooling liquid. On the car with the automatic transmission disconnect hoses of the oil heater of the transmission.

Mark hoses before their detachment not to mix them at repeated accession.

Be careful that transmission liquid from hoses did not flow out. For an exception of hit of dirt close the ends of hoses traffic jams.

  1. Disconnect the top and lower hoses from a radiator and remove a radiator.
  1. Disconnect a wire of connection with "weight" from the engine.
  1. Disconnect a vacuum hose from the vacuum amplifier of brakes.
  1. Disconnect hoses of giving and return of fuel from the engine.

Gasoline is extremely flammable, during the work with elements of fuel system use of fire, the sparking devices opened by fire-dangerous light devices and smoking is forbidden. It is necessary to avoid emergence of sparking at the address with wires and electric devices.

  1. Disconnect the cooling system hoses going to a heater.
  2. Disconnect an accelerator cable from the engine.
  3. On the car with the mechanical five-speed transmission disconnect a coupling cable from a transmission case.
  1. On the car with the mechanical five-speed transmission disconnect drafts of the choice and gear shifting.
  1. On the car with the automatic transmission disconnect a cable of control of the transmission.
  2. Disconnect the car speed sensor socket from the transmission.
  1. Remove the compressor of the air conditioning system from an arm.
  1. Lift the car.
  2. Disconnect a forward exhaust pipe from a final collector.

Fix by a soft wire an exhaust pipe on the car bottom.

  1. Turn out bolts and disconnect the lower part of a rotary fist from a rack.
  1. Turn out bolts, remove a support and fix by a soft wire it on a rack of a forward suspension bracket.
  1. Remove the sensor of frequency of rotation of a wheel.
  1. Fix captures of the load-lifting mechanism for eyes of the engine and lift so that to unload support from engine weight.
  1. Turn out bolts of fastening of support of the engine.
  2. Separate an engine support arm from the engine.
  3. Slowly lift the engine so that it departed from support, and temporarily hold it in this situation.

Check that all electric sockets, hoses, tubes and plaits of wires are disconnected from the engine.

  1. Turn out bolts of fastening of an arm of the transmission to the right wing.
  1. Turn out bolts and nuts of fastening of a submotor frame.
  2. Inclining the transmission, lower down and remove from the car the engine together with the transmission.
