14:13. Removal and installation of the lock of a steering column
Removal

- Hacksaw cut through grooves in heads of the cut-off bolts. Turn off bolts the screw-driver with a flat edge and remove an arm of the lock of a steering column.
|
|
|
At installation of the lock of a steering column it is necessary to use new bolts with the cut-off head. |
|
|
- Remove the lock from a steering column.
|
- Installation is carried out to the sequences, the return to removal.
|
|
Universal hinge
|
|
|
|
- Weaken a bolt of fastening of the universal hinge to a steering shaft.
|
|
|
- Remove the universal hinge from a steering shaft.
|
- Installation is carried out to the sequences, the return to removal.
|
|
Check
|
|
- Check a steering shaft for absence of damage and deformations.
- Check the universal hinge of a steering shaft for lack of a side play, damages and jammings.
- Check the bearing of the spherical hinge for lack of wear and damages.
