14:12. Steering column / helmsman shaft

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.
  2. Remove a safety cushion of the driver.

On the cars which are not equipped with a safety cushion of the driver remove the button of inclusion of a sound signal.

  1. Turn off a nut of fastening of a steering wheel.
  1. Apply combination tags on an end face of a steering shaft and a steering wheel and a stripper remove a steering wheel.
  1. Turn out screws and remove casings of a steering column.
  1. Disconnect electric sockets from the multipurpose switch.
  1. Turn out three bolts and remove the multipurpose switch.
  1. Turn out four bolts and remove the lower protection against collision.
  1. Turn out five bolts connecting a steering shaft and the universal hinge.
  1. Turn out bolts and remove a steering column and a shaft together with the universal hinge.
