- Disconnect a pressure head hose from the pump of the amplifier of steering. Between the disconnected pressure head hose and the pump connect the special measuring tool, as shown in the drawing.
- Pump over the hydraulic drive of the amplifier of steering, then launch the engine and turn a steering wheel several times so that temperature of liquid increased to 50 °C.
- Increase the frequency of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine up to 1000 min.-1.
- Close the valve of the special tool and measure pressure. The liquid pressure created by the pump of the amplifier of steering: 1209–1280 psi.

- Remove special tools and connect a pressure head hose to the pump, having tightened a connecting nut of a hose the required moment. Inhaling moment: 55–65 N • m.
- Remove air from the hydraulic drive of the amplifier of steering.
