11:29. Installation of the interlock



For ensuring normal functioning at service of the lock of the interlock follow the service regulations and recommendations provided further.

Installation of a cam of the lock

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Manually move the closing cam in the direction of "A".
  1. Make sure that the closing cam is combined in a point of "B" with a clamp pin.

Adjustment of cables of movement and blocking

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check that each cam of the lock is located in the situation shown in the drawing.
  1. In this situation establish a cable of movement and jam a blocking cable. In this case the cable of blocking has to connect to a brake pedal in a starting position of a pedal.
  1. Temporarily connect each cable to the lever on the automatic transmission, as shown in the drawing. Reliably insert a cable into a pin of installation of each cam.
  1. Slightly moving a blocking cable in the direction of "E", eliminate sagging of a cable and provide the gap equal to 2-4 mm.

If the gap is not equal 2–4 mm, for functioning of the button of blocking on the selector lever the pedal of a brake will have to is pressed much more, than it is necessary.

  1. After check be convinced that the tip of a cable concerns the fixing pin of the R-shaped closing cam, then move a blocking cable tip with a washer and record a pin.
  2. Slightly press the blocking cam in the direction of "Q".
  3. After performance of action of "f" pull a blocking cable in the direction of "G" before elimination of sagging a little and fix it by a nut.
  1. Make sure that checked whether the blocking cable is inserted into the fixing pin of the blocking cam, then establish a washer and the fixing pin. At the same time check whether the R-shaped closing cam is combined with a movement cable, as shown in the drawing.

Check of correctness of installation of a cable of movement

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. If the brake pedal is not pressed, the button in situation "P" will not work at the selector lever (the lever of the selector cannot be moved from situation "P" to any other situation). The button on the lever of the selector can be used in other provisions, except "P".
  2. If the course of a pedal of a brake makes 15–25 mm (with the selector lever in situation "P"), the button has to work without capture and the lever of the selector can move from situation "P".
  3. If the pedal of a brake is not pressed, the lever of the selector can smoothly move to situation "P" from other provisions.
  4. The pedal of a brake has to work smoothly without capture in all provisions.
  5. After turn of a key in the ignition lock in the provision of "LOCK" the button has to work even if the pedal of a brake is not pressed.
  6. The key in the lock of ignition cannot be turned in a provision of "LOCK" if the lever of the selector is not installed in situation "P".
  7. If the lever of the selector is installed in situation "P", the key in the lock of ignition has to be turned in a provision of "LOCK".

Precautionary measures

  1. Slightly moving a blocking cable in the direction of "E", provide the gap equal to 2-4 mm between a cam of blocking and the R-shaped closing cam, then fix a cable by a nut. After that be convinced that the gap is in limits of 2-4 mm.

If the gap is not equal 2–4 mm, for functioning of the button of blocking on the selector lever the pedal of a brake will have to is pressed much more, than it is necessary.

  1. Make sure that sagging of a cable of blocking is eliminated.

If sagging of a cable of blocking is not eliminated, it will be impossible to remove a key from the cylinder of the lock of ignition and the lever of the selector cannot be moved from situation "P" to other provisions, even in spite of the fact that the key in the lock of ignition is in the provision of "LOCK".


  1. After performance of all works be convinced that the blocking cam and the R-shaped closing cam are not in the provisions shown in drawings.

If the blocking cam and the R-shaped closing cam are in the provisions shown in figures 5 and 6, movement of the lever of the selector from provisions D 3, 2, L in provisions P, R, N with applying of big effort can lead to damage of the interacting elements. If cams are in the situation shown in the figure 5, move the selector lever from provisions D, 3, 2, L to provisions P, R, N after turn of the R-shaped closing cam in the direction of "A".

If cams are in the situation shown in the figure 6, move the selector lever from provisions D, 3, 2, L to provisions P, R, N after turn of the R-shaped closing cam in the direction of "A", at the same time pressing a brake pedal.
