5.1.3. Check of frequency of rotation of idling

Before check of frequency of rotation of idling be convinced that spark plugs, fuel nozzles, the modulator of frequency of rotation of idling (ISC), a compression, etc. are in an order.

Check conditions

The engine has to be heated-up up to the temperature of cooling liquid of 80-95 °C.
Headlights, dimensional illumination, the fan of a radiator and all consumers of electric energy have to be switched off.
The transmission has to be installed in neutral situation.
The steering wheel has to be established for the movement directly forward.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Connect a tachometer to primary winding of the coil of ignition or the scanner to the diagnostic socket.
Launch the engine and leave it to work at the frequency of rotation of a bent shaft idling.
No more, than on 5 with increase the frequency of rotation of a bent shaft to ^{2000-3000min-1} then let's it work idling within 2 min.
Determine idling rotation frequency by a tachometer.

Idling rotation frequency:

Engine of 1,6 l: 850±100 ^min.-1
L engines 1,8 and 2,0: 700±100 min. ^–1
