5.1.28. Fuel tank


  • Gasoline is explosive therefore during the work with elements of fuel system provide normal ventilation of a workplace, do not use fire, the sparking devices opened by fire-dangerous light devices and you do not smoke.
  • Before removal of the fuel tank, merge from it fuel. Clear the fuel tank of fuel vapors.
  • Uncover a toplivonalivny mouth of the fuel tank to level pressure in a tank with atmospheric pressure.


  1. Remove a pillow of back sitting and disconnect the socket of the fuel pump.
  1. Launch the engine and leave it to work until the stop connected with lack of fuel in the distributive fuel highway. As a result of the performed operations pressure in fuel system is taken off.

For an exception of spraying of fuel close the place of separation of fuel system pure rags and, being careful, smoothly separate pipelines.

  1. Disconnect a wire of "weight" from the rechargeable battery.
  1. Disconnect the top pressure head hose from the party of an exit of the fuel filter and a wire of removal of static electricity.
  2. Lift the car.
  3. Disconnect a hose from a toplivonalivny mouth and a hose of alignment of pressure of vapors of fuel.
  1. Support the fuel tank by a jack.
  1. Turn off самоконтрящиеся nuts and shoot films of fastening of the fuel tank.
  1. Remove the fuel tank.

Close all opened openings of the fuel tank to exclude an exit from a tank of vapors of fuel.

Even in the empty fuel tank there are fuel vapors which are explosive therefore be careful. Provide normal ventilation of a workplace, do not use fire, the sparking devices opened by fire-dangerous light devices and you do not smoke. As soon as possible clear the fuel tank of fuel vapors.



  1. Check hoses and pipes for lack of cracks, an excess, deformation, aging and a contamination.
  2. Check functioning of a cover of a jellied mouth of the fuel tank.
  3. Clear a tank and check it for existence of traces of a rust, damages and cracks. The fuel tank damaged or treated to corrosion action needs to be replaced.
  4. Check an internal surface of the fuel tank for existence of pollution.
  5. Check the fuel filter for lack of a contamination or damages.
  6. Check operability of the limiter of overflow (the double-thread valve).
  1. Check operability of the double-thread valve, blowing it from two parties.



  1. Install the fuel tank and fix it by tapes.
  1. Connect the compensating hose to a mouth of the fuel tank, having pulled it approximately over 40 mm.
  1. At connection of a hose of a filler it is necessary to connect the end with shorter direct pipe сл the parties of the fuel tank.
  1. Connect a hose of system of catching of vapors of fuel and a returnable hose. Attach a hose of supply of fuel as shown in the drawing.
  1. For connection of a pressure head hose with the fuel pump, temporarily tighten cap nuts by hand, then tighten their moment of an inhaling recommended by the specification. When tightening nuts be careful not to bend or to overwind a tube and to avoid damage of the fuel pump.
  1. Connect the socket of the electric fuel pump.
