Turn off an adjusting nut and disconnect a cable of the parking brake.
Remove the switch of the parking brake.
Remove knot of the lever of the parking brake.
Remove a wheel.
Remove the brake drum.
Remove brake shoes.
Disconnect a cable of the parking brake from the lever on a brake shoe.
Remove the clip fixing a cover of a cable of the parking brake to a brake board.
Weaken clips of fastening of a cable of the parking brake and remove it from the car.
Check
PERFORMANCE ORDER
Check operation of the switch of the parking brake.
Check a ratchet of the lever of the parking brake for lack of wear.
Check a cable of the parking brake for lack of wear or damages.
Installation
PERFORMANCE ORDER
Check existence of marking on the left and right cables of the parking brake and establish them on the places.
Identification color:
Left side: Red color Right side: Yellow color
Move the lever of the parking brake on a brake shoe completely back and establish springs.
Establish a cable of the parking brake in the direction shown in the drawing.
Grease with the recommended lubricant a ratchet and a doggie of a ratchet of the lever of the parking brake. The recommended lubricant: SAE J310, NLGI No. 2.
After installation of the compensator adjust the course of the lever of the parking brake.
After a compensator arrangement at distance of 40 mm from the lever, manually pull cables and screw an adjusting nut in situation at which the course of the lever of the parking brake will be equal to 8 clicks.
