3.6. Oil pump of petrol engines

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Take off a gear belt.
  2. Turn out all bolts of fastening of the oil pallet.
  3. Remove the oil pallet.
  4. Turn out 2 bolts and remove a mesh oil filter with a maslopriyemny pipe.
  1. Remove a forward cover.
  1. Uncover the oil pump.
  2. Remove internal and external gear wheels of the oil pump from a forward cover, previously having noted their mutual situation.
  3. Turn out a stopper and remove a spring and a plunger.

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check forward oil consolidation for lack of wear or damage of working edges and, if necessary, replace it.
  2. Check a working edge of consolidation for lack of its deterioration. If it is necessary replace oil consolidation.
  3. Check the oil pallet for lack of cracks or damages and if necessary replace it.
  4. Check an oil filter for lack of cracks or damages and if necessary replace it.
  5. Check a forward cover for lack of wear or damages to places of contact with gear wheels of the oil pump and if necessary replace it.
  6. Check lack of wear or damage of teeths of gear wheels of the oil pump.
  1. Measure by the probe a gap between a gear wheel of the oil pump and a nest in a cover. Maximum permissible gap of an external gear wheel of the oil pump: 0,12–0,185 mm.
  1. Measure by the probe a gap between teeths of gear wheels of the oil pump. A maximum permissible gap between teeths of gear wheels of the oil pump: 0,025–0,069 mm.
  1. Measure by a metal ruler and the probe a side gap of gear wheels of the oil pump.

Maximum permissible side gap of rotors of the oil pump: 0,04–0,085 mm.

  1. Check a condition of the safety valve located in a forward cover.
  2. . Check a condition of a spring of the safety valve.

Spring length in a free state: 43,8 mm

L engines 2,0 / 1,8: 43,8 mm
Engine of 1,6 l: 46,6 mm

Spring length under loading of 3,7 kg:

L engines 2,0 / 1,8: 40,1 mm

Spring length under loading of 6,1 kg:

Engine of 1,6 l: 40,1 mm

Oil pressure sensor

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. If the control lamp of pressure of engine oil lights up after inclusion of ignition and dies away after start of the engine, so the sensor of pressure of engine oil is serviceable. If the control lamp of pressure of engine oil does not light up after inclusion of ignition, check a condition of the sensor of pressure of oil, a lamp and an electrical wiring.
  2. If there is electric current after inclusion of ignition and current is absent after start of the engine, so the sensor of pressure of engine oil is serviceable. If the sensor of pressure of engine oil is serviceable, check a lamp and an electrical wiring.
  3. Using a deep key on 24 mm tighten the sensor the required moment.

Check of the sensor of pressure of oil

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Ohmmeter check conductivity of connection between the plug of the sensor and the block of cylinders. In the absence of conductivity, replace the sensor.
  1. Ohmmeter check conductivity of connection between the plug of the sensor and the block of cylinders at the put-forward sensor rod. If conductivity is available even at the put-forward rod, replace the sensor.
  1. However, if there is no conductivity even at the annex of vacuum of 50 kPa to a sensor opening, the sensor works properly.
  1. Check tightness of a diaphragm of the sensor and, if necessary, replace it.

Installation

Oil pump

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Establish external and internal gear wheels of the oil pump in a forward cover, previously having combined the tags put earlier.
  2. Establish a cover of the oil pump and fix it by bolts. After tightening of bolts be convinced that gear wheels are turned easily and smoothly. Inhaling moment: 6–9 N • m.
  1. Install the safety valve, a spring and wrap a stopper, having tightened it the required moment. Before installation oil the safety valve engine. Inhaling moment: 40–50 N • m.

Forward cover

Establish a forward cover with new laying and fix it by bolts.

Length of bolts:

L engines 2,0 / 1,8:

And – 25 mm
B – 20 mm
C – 45 mm
D – 38 mm

Engine of 1,6 l:

And – 30 mm
B – 45 mm
C – 60 mm
D – 22 mm

Inhaling moment: 20–27 N • m.

Oil consolidation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Using the special tool 09214-32000, establish oil consolidation of the forward party of a bent shaft in a forward cover.
  1. Install the special tool 09214-32100 at a forward end face of a bent shaft and apply a butter layer on the external surface of the special tool for installation of a forward cover.
  1. Establish an oil filter.
  2. Clear the interfaced surfaces of the oil pallet and the block of cylinders of the remains of old laying.
  3. Apply a continuous layer of sealant on the interfaced surface of the oil pallet. Around openings for bolts sealant have from the inside.
  1. Thickness of a layer of sealant has to be about 4 mm.
  2. After putting sealant install the oil pallet within no more than 15 min.
  1. Install the oil pallet on the block of cylinders and fix by bolts. Inhaling moments: 10–12 N • m.
