3.5. Choice of engine oil

The choice of engine oil for petrol engines

It is recommended to use engine oils of classification of SG or SG/CD of the classes of viscosity given on drawings.

For providing optimum lubricant and the maximum protection of the engine choose the oils meeting the following requirements:
– to correspond to API classification;
– to have the corresponding viscosity of SAE for a certain range of temperatures.

The recommended classification of engine oil for petrol engines on API: SH or above

The viscosity of oil recommended on SAE:

* 1. Application is limited to climatic conditions.
* 2. It is not recommended at the steady movement of the car at a high speed.

The choice of engine oil for diesel engines

It is recommended to use engine oils of classification of SG or SG/CD of the classes of viscosity given on the drawing.

The recommended classification by API: SE or above
