2.7. Balancing shaft

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Take off a gear belt.
  2. Turn out all bolts of fastening of the oil pallet.
  3. Remove the oil pallet.
  4. Remove a mesh oil filter and a sealing ring of round section.
  5. Remove a casing of the oil pump.
  1. Remove the oil pressure sensor.
  1. Turn out bolts of fastening of a balancing shaft.
  1. Remove knot of balancing shaft.
  1. Turn out bolts and remove the case of the oil pump and a sealing ring of round section from the block of cylinders.
  2. Uncover the oil pump from the case of the oil pump.

Check

Forward cover

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check lubricant openings for lack of contaminations and, if necessary, clear them.
  2. Check bearings of a forward cover, contacting to balancing shaft on lack of wear, damages and jammings.
  3. Check a forward cover for lack of cracks or damages and if necessary replace it.
  4. Replace the split or damaged forward cover.

Balancing shaft

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check necks of shaft for lack of wear or jamming
  2. With excessive wear or traces of jamming, carefully check the bearing.
  1. With defects replace the bearing or a balancing shaft.

Oil consolidation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check working edges of oil consolidation for lack of wear and damages.
  2. Check working edges of oil consolidation for lack of destruction.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Grease gear wheels and combine adjusting tags on gear wheels.
  1. Apply Locitite272 sealant on bolts of fastening of a gear wheel and an intermediate gear wheel.
  1. Using the special tool 09231-27100, install oil consolidation of the forward party of a bent shaft in the case of the oil pump.
  1. Fill with sealant a groove of the case of the oil pump. Sealant: Loctite 5900 or equivalent.
  1. Thickness of a layer of sealant has to be about 2,5±0,5 mm.
  2. After putting sealant install the case of the oil pump within no more than 5 min.
  1. Install a new sealing ring of round section in the case of the oil pump and temporarily tighten bolts of fastening of the pump.
  2. Install the case of the oil pump with a new sealing ring of round section and tighten the required moment bolts of fastening of the oil pump. Inhaling moment: 20–27 N • m.
  1. Install the block of balancing shaft in the block of cylinders.
  1. Put a sealant layer in a groove of a flange of the oil pallet.
  1. Thickness of a layer of sealant has to be 3±0,5 mm.
  2. After putting sealant install the oil pallet within no more than 5 min.
  1. Install the oil pallet and fix by bolts, having tightened them the required moment. Inhaling moment: 10–12 N • m.
  1. Using the special tool, screw the oil pressure sensor, previously having greased a sensor carving with a sealant layer. Sealant: Threebond 1104 or equivalent.

Do not delay pressure sensor with application of the big moment of an inhaling. Pressure sensor inhaling moment: 15–22 N • m.
