6. Control systems and decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases

General information

Work of system of injection of fuel is based on the sequence of impulses and measurement of a consumption of air. The system provides giving in cylinders of the engine of toplivnovozdushny mix of optimum structure. The system of absorption of air and system of injection of fuel work together with system of electronic control by the engine. All sensors and switches connect to ESM which processes the arriving data and calculates installation of phases of gas distribution and duration of opening electrically of the operated fuel nozzles.

The main requirement for optimum supply of fuel is defined by the data arriving on ESM from the sensor of a mass consumption of air. Other sensors and switches are used for the following measurements:

– temperatures of cooling liquid;
– frequencies of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine;
– contents of oxygen in the fulfilled gases;
– definitions of provision of the top dead point of the piston of the first cylinder in a compression step.

Various sensors and switches inform on any changes of operating conditions and send the corresponding signals to ESM. It allows ESM to regulate duration of opening of nozzles and to support the optimum mode for decrease in toxicity of harmful substances in the fulfilled gases and power setting in various service conditions of the car.

To reduce emissions of harmful substances in the atmosphere together with the fulfilled gases the following systems of decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases are used:

– system of catching of vapors of fuel;
– system of ventilation of a case;
– system of recirculation of the fulfilled gases;
– catalytic converter.
