15:11. Back disk brakes

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Weaken an adjusting nut of a cable of the parking brake.
  2. Remove a wheel.
  1. Disconnect a brake hose.
  1. Turn out bolts of fastening of a support (2EA).
5. Remove a support and brake shoes.
6. Remove a clip and disconnect a cable of the parking brake.

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check brake shoes for lack of wear or pollution by oil and, if necessary, replace them.

Surely replace all blocks on one axis of the car even if only one block is worn-out.

Thickness of an overlay of a brake shoe: 9,0 mm
Minimum admissible thickness of an overlay of a brake shoe: 2,0 mm

  1. Check lobbies and back brake shoes and screws of fastening for lack of wear or damages. When replacing blocks also replace screws.
  1. Check for lack of wear or damages dustproof covers as if dust got to a support, it is necessary to replace or repair a support.
  2. Before replacement of brake shoes half remove brake fluid from a tank of the main brake cylinder.
  3. Measure thickness of a brake disk. Measure by the indicator of hour type a beating of a brake disk at small distance from an outer edge.

Thickness of a brake disk:

Nominal: 10 mm
Minimum admissible: 8 mm

Maximum permissible beating: 0,08 mm
Maximum permissible difference of thickness of a brake disk: 0,01 mm

  1. Measure by a micrometer disk thickness in eight places, approximately through everyone 45 ° at distance of 5 mm from an outer edge of a disk.
  2. The indicator of hour type check a beating of a brake disk. Fix the indicator of hour type in any convenient place and, turning a brake disk, define its beating at distance of 5 mm from the outer edge.
  1. If necessary, replace a brake disk.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check a support and the piston for lack of wear, damages, cracks and a rust.
  1. Check consolidation of the piston and a cover for lack of wear or a gap.
  1. Apply the recommended lubricant on the following elements:
    – consolidation of the piston: DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid;
    – internal surface of the cylinder of a support: DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid;
    – piston cover: DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid;
    – external surface of the piston: DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid;
    – covers of the directing finger: lubricant for rubber.
  1. The special tool press the piston into a support.
